Auburn university keeps a watch on corona virus


AUBURN, Ala (WDHN)- Auburn University is issuing warnings to students to be aware of corona virus as they make travel plans for spring break.  

President Jay Gogue has established a group of campus leaders including, health experts, emergency management personal and others to monitoring the evolving situation with the coronavirus or COVID-19, protentional effects to campus, and to create responses to the effects.  

Auburn University and East Alabama Medical Center health experts along with officials from the emergency management division of the Department of Campus Safety & Security have also been monitoring this concern in collaboration with Lee County and the State of Alabama Department of Public Health. At the moment, there are no known cases in the state of Alabama. However, CDC expects the number of cases in the U.S. to rise.
