DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — A group of Dothan residents gathered in prayer on the city’s roadways Palm Sunday.

Around 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., drivers lined up on the Ross Clark Circle with their brights on or hazard lights flashing in order to show their support for a citywide prayer against the COVID-19 pandemic.

Drivers with various churches were asked to spend time on the roads to prayer for the end of the virus in Dothan, which claimed seven lives in the past week. To complete the prayer, the participating drivers drove around the circle seven times.

Due to the response the event received, there are plans to do this again at the same time for Easter Sunday.
