TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (WDHN) — The University of Alabama is offering free exit COVID-19 testing for students leaving for the holidays.
The university said this would be optional and joined the exposure and sentinel testing already available to students.
Weekday exposure, symptomatic and exit testing are available at the Coleman Coliseum at the following times:
- Until Nov. 13 — 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Nov. 16-20 — 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Nov. 23-24 — 9 a.m. to noon
From Nov. 30 to Dec. 11, tests will also be available at the East Campus Storm Shelter at the following times:
- Nov. 30-Dec. 4 — 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Dec. 7-11 — 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Those interested can schedule an appointment for testing online. They must bring their ACT card, CWID, and driver’s license or government-issued ID.
Between Dec. 14 through Dec. 18, students will need to make an appointment at the Student Health Center for symptomatic and exit testing.

While the exit testing is free, exposure and symptomatic testing will be “billed to students’ health insurance with remaining balances posted to their student accounts.”
