ORIGINAL REPORT:

DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — Southeast Health has confirmed its second COVID-19 case, marking Dothan’s third positive test result within two weeks.

The second case tested positive Monday. In total, 45 tests have been administered at Southeast Health, 17 have come back negative and 26 are still pending.

The first patient was a Georgia resident, who was not marked in the Alabama count since he was out of state. That patient was said to be in good condition at the time.

The second case was one of three residents at Dothan’s Extendicare Health and Rehabilitation Center who began showing similar symptoms to COVID-19. All three were isolated and were given swabs.

The other two residents are still pending.
