Troy Athletics coaches reading for children out of school

TROY, Ala. (WDHN) — Troy Athletics debuted a new series Wednesday featuring “Voice of the Trojans” Barry McKnight and members of the Troy coaching staff reading children’s books via social media for children to watch while home from school.

The initial video featured McKnight and head baseball coach Mark Smartt reading a pair of books from the turf of Riddle-Pace Field.

Troy athletics distributed the video on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube in addition to housing the content on its official website, troytrojans.com.

Subsequent videos will follow each Wednesday at 10 a.m. for families to enjoy.

In addition to releasing the debut episode of reading with the Trojans on Wednesday, Troy Athletics also debuted a Troy-themed coloring/activity book featuring beloved mascot T-Roy, which is available for download at troytrojans.com/coloringbook.
