OZARK, Ala. (WDHN) — Ozark Mayor Bob Bunting confirmed Dale County’s first case of COVID-19 in a video statement Wednesday.
According to Bunting, the patient is being cared for at Dale County Medical and is doing well in isolation.
“We’ve got the best doctors and the nurses in that hospital, their protocol is absolutely perfect,” he said. “They have all the equipment they need, and they’re taking every precaution.
Bunting asked citizens to abide by social distancing guidelines to prevent further illnesses.
“I call it the Walmart Rule: six feet (apart), wash your hands 20 seconds and often,” he said. “Also, if you got a temperature of 100 degrees, don’t go to work.”
