Number of COVID-19 patients at Southeast Health surge as death toll rises


DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — The number of COVID-19 patients at Southeast Health has risen to 48, according to the hospital’s website.

So far, the hospital has reported 37 COVID-19 patient deaths and confirmed a total of 337 cases, 214 of which ended in discharges.

By last Friday, the hospital only had 26 patients, eight of which were in the intensive care unit. That day, the ICU was already at capacity.
