DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — Dothan City Schools’ COVID-19 dashboard reported a jump in the number of employees who were quarantined and/or exposed to COVID-19 last Friday.
Twelve employees are now quarantined, more than twice the number initially reported when the dashboard first premiered Thursday. The dashboard has also reported two new cases in employees, bringing the total of those with COVID-19 to seven.
However, all students who had the virus have now been cleared after testing negative, ensuring a clean record for the student body as DCS begins the new school year Tuesday.
Public Information Officer Meagan Dorsey said to clear up any confusion, this is not a cumulative total. This is an active case total.
As students and teachers recover, they will be removed from the dashboard.
