JUST IN: Over 300 DCS students in quarantine after COVID-19 exposure

UPDATE:

Dothan City Schools has reported 314 students in quarantine due to COVID-19 exposure. It also added two new active student cases to its current total.

This means that 3.93 percent of students are now out of school while monitoring for COVID-19.

ORIGINAL REPORT:

DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — Dothan City Schools reported 291 students in quarantine Wednesday, according to its active case dashboard.

This means that 3.64 percent of the student body has been exposed to COVID-19. As for active cases, there are only 16 students who are sick with the virus.

Meanwhile 27 staff members have contracted the virus while another 22 were exposed.

These figures could change as the board could be updated Thursday.
