Man, woman in their 70s test positive for COVID-19 in Holmes County


HOLMES COUNTY, Fla. (WDHN) — The Florida Department of Health has confirmed another two cases of COVID-19 in Holmes County, bringing its total to 16.

The cases are a 74-year-old woman and a 79-year-old man.

Only one resident has been hospitalized in Holmes County so far.

While the case numbers in Holmes County have remained low, its surrounding counties have recorded much higher case numbers. Here is a breakdown of those numbers:

  • Jackson County – 238 cases/12 hospitalizations/zero deaths
  • Walton County – 94 cases/15 hospitalizations/eight deaths
  • Washington County – 45 cases/7 hospitalizations/one death
