Geneva County reports first case of COVID-19

GENEVA COUNTY, Ala. (WDHN) — The entire state of Alabama is now reporting at least one case of COVID-19 per county.

The ADPH dashboard now marks Geneva County, the final county in the Wiregrass and the state of Alabama, as having a case of COVID-19. Forty-one lab tests have been done in this region.

In total, the state is now reporting 2,290 confirmed cases and 66 deaths, although only 48 of those deaths have been verified as being due to COVID-19.

Three hundred fourteen people have been hospitalized, and the state has tested 18,982 people.
