DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) —New information from the Alabama Department of Public is showing a stark change in the Wiregrass CVID-19 situation.
Almost all of our local counties have been downgraded to a moderate risk level, a sign of the improvement mentioned by both state and local officials in the past week.
The only exception is Geneva County, once known as a low-risk area, which is now designated as a “very high risk” zone for COVID-19.
While the county has shown a brief decline in new COVID-19 cases, the percent of those testing positive rose from 10 to 15 percent last week. The county is still meeting its testing goal, however.
