EUFAULA, Ala. (WDHN) — Eufaula Mayor Jack Tibbs is under quarantine after being exposed to COVID-19.
Tibbs said he was exposed by an individual that contracted the virus and attended the same meeting as the mayor. This individual tested positive six days later.
Tibbs took a test for the virus and is awaiting the results. However, he hasn’t shown any symptoms so far.
“I feel fine and everything,” he said. “I’m just being precautionary.”
He recently got a message from a hospital that they working to speed up his test so he could get his result sooner from the lab.
