ENTERPRISE, Ala. (WDHN) — Mayor William Cooper will soon return to work after battling covid-19.
A week ago, cooper contracted the coronavirus, having been was exposed to the virus through his son.
In a phone interview with WDHN, Cooper said it’s been rough, but he managed to overcome the virus.
Now, he’s out of quarantine and is “doing fine.”
“Thank god, with what I did have, I was able to handle it,” Cooper said. “And (with) my doctor and the medication I had, I was able to overcome it.”
Cooper was supposed to return to work Friday, but his doctor suggested he take more time to get himself ready to make his comeback.
He now expects to return to work this Monday.
