Dothan preschool sends employees to be tested after possible exposure to COVID-19

Coronavirus

DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — Christian Kids Academy in Dothan closed Tuesday after employees were possibly exposed to COVID-19.

The preschool made the decision after a parent told them that they were in self-quarantine and were showing COVID-19 symptoms. As a result, the school sent its employees to be tested.

The school will not be charging parents for any tuition while it is closed. There is no set date for the Academy to reopen.

“Christian Kids Academy is a place that our families can turn to during times like this,” the school said in Facebook. “We remained open for you as long as we were safely able to do so. As always, we place the safety of our children and staff at the highest level. We will continue to update you as we know more.“

The school asks anyone with questions to call 334-618-8909.
