COVID-19 hospitalizations continue to fall in Alabama

DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — COVID-19 hospitalizations in Alabama have continued to decline for 10 days after reaching a record high on Jan. 11.

The Alabama Department of Public Health reported 2,478 hospitalizations across 109 hospitals.

This is a decrease of around 600 hospitalizations in this time period.

Locally, Southeast Health’s hospitalizations also dropped to 90 from over 100 Wednesday.

Flowers Hospital has not released new numbers since Jan. 11, when it had 52 patients.
