Another COVID-19 death reported in Dothan; around 12,000 cases in Alabama

DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — Another COVID-19 patient has died in Dothan, according to information from Southeast Health.

Since the pandemic began, Southeast Health has seen 18 deaths among its 122 cases of COVID-19.

Not all of these deaths were Houston County residents, since the Alabama Department of Public Health dashboard is only reporting four deaths for the county.

Seventy-three of those patients were discharged. As of this report, there are currently three people waiting for their test results.

Across town, Flowers Hospital has not reported any deaths but has confirmed 70 total COVID-19 cases.

There have been 488 total deaths across Alabama. Mobile County has the highest count at 101 deaths.

The ADPH has confirmed 12,052 COVID-19 cases since the pandemic began.
