ENTERPRISE, Ala. (WDHN) — Enterprise City Schools Superintendent Greg Faught said 26 students and 20 staff members have caught COVID-19 since Aug. 6.

In a phone call with WDHN, Faught said August had 16 cases, September had eight, and October has had two so far. These cases are certified and documented through the district’s nursing offices and do not include those that are self-reported without a documented positive result.

“I’m certain there are more cases that we don’t know about,” Faught said.

Faught also said there are two probable cases among staff members that have yet to be documented. He believes there may also be a jump in cases now that students have returned from fall break.

Weekly updates will be provided on the district’s situation.
