18 Troy students, employees diagnosed with COVID-19

TROY, Ala. (WDHN) — Troy University has reported 18 COVID-19 cases among student employees and other employees.

The university launched a COVID-19 Statistics page on its coronavirus information center June 1 under the oversight of the Dean of Student Services. The webpage will be updated every noon.

“Employee and student confidentiality laws prohibit us from disclosing the identities of individuals,” the university said on its webpage. “It’s important to note that any individual who has tested positive will be isolated, and anyone believed to be at risk for exposure will be contacted and asked to self-quarantine.” 

This list only includes the people who have made the university aware that they have COVID-19. Other cases may exist that have not been reported.
