14 COVID-19 cases reported at Medical Center Enterprise; testing centers to be set up across Wiregrass

ENTERPRISE, Ala. (WDHN) — Medical Center Enterprise has confirmed 14 cases of COVID-19 out of 122 test samples.

As of this report, Coffee County has 117 cases among its population. At least one person is awaiting their results at MCE.

To help increase testing across the area, the Alabama Department of Public Health is setting up multiple test sites for continuous testing throughout the month of May.

First is the site at the Covington County Health Department, which will operate on Tuesday, May 5, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

However, weekly tests will be conducted in both Coffee and Houston Counties.

The Coffee County Health Department at 2841 Neal Metcalf Road in Enterprise will give tests every Tuesday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. and Thursdays from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday testing will begin May 12 while Thursday testing begins May 6.

Meanwhile, the Houston County Health Department, located on 1781 E Cottonwood Road, will test every Wednesday starting May 6 from 1 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
