Trojans begin Sun Belt action at Georgia State

Sun Belt Conference play is set to begin for the Trojans as Troy heads to Atlanta.
ATLANTA, Ga. – Sun Belt Conference play is set to begin for the Trojans as Troy (5-7) heads to Atlanta to take on Georgia State (7-6) at 6 p.m. on Thursday night.

Troy is fresh off a 74-62 win over Belhaven on Saturday afternoon.  Antoine Myers led the team with 21 points on 8-of-13 shooting.  Jeff Mullahey filled up the box score with 17 points, eight rebounds and five assists.  Josh Warren grabbed a team-high 10 rebounds in his second start of the season.
Myers continues to lead the team in scoring at 12.7 points per game.  Thomas is the team’s leading rebounder at 8.3 boards per contest.
Georgia State enters the game having won four straight and five of the last six.  The Panthers’ only loss in that stretch was an overtime thriller at Southern Miss in early December.
The Panthers are led by Ryan Harrow’s 20.2 points per game.  R.J. Hunter and Manny Atkins are each scoring in double-figures as well, with Hunter at 17.5 points and Atkins at 13.7 points per game.
Troy is 18-15 all-time against Georgia State.  The last meeting came last season, with Troy taking the 57-56 win.
