Russian educators traveled all the way to the Wiregrass to learn about the city’s education system and to share details about schools in Russia.

The Dothan Rotary Club invited the teachers to speak today during its second meeting of the year.

Elena Efremova, the vice principal of a school in Saint Petersburg, Russia, said they’re glad to exchange ideas with teachers in Dothan.  She also said the main focus is the children.

“It is just a question of self-development, and actually, it is all done for the children, for their future, for their knowledge, for their self sufficiency," said Efremova.

For the Dothan Rotary Club, establishing international relationships is a priority, as well as improving education in the community.
