Several members of the Operation Christmas Child organization were packing up their first boxes of the season Monday at Heritage Baptist Church.

Organizers say they're in desperate need of your help. For just $10, you can completely fill a shoebox with things that a child needs.

"There are just millions of children that need that gift that they love. Many of them have grown up and told Samaritan's Purse how they feel loved from a simple thing like a box of pencils, stuffed animals and a toothbrush. Some say they've never felt loved until then," Coordinator Shannon McGonegal said.

There are two drop-off locations in Dothan, one at Heritage Baptist Church, and the other at Mt. Gilead Baptist Church.

There are ten other locations around the Wiregrass. You can find them on the Samaritan's Purse website here.
