Paramedics responded to a medical call Sunday morning and found the child unresponsive according to Lt. Will Benny of the Dothan Police Department. The boy was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later. Circumstances led to a criminal probe that resulted in Culver’s arrest.
“It was an act of neglect that we believed cause the death,” Benny said. “At this time I am unable to release additional information because we’re still working to tie up some loose ends regarding our investigation.”
Bond is expected to be set for Culver later Monday.
