A Graceville man has been charged with two counts of murder following the Thanksgiving shooting deaths of two people in Jackson County. Joseph Gilley was taken into custody taken into custody a short time after a police officer discovered two bodies at a home near Graceville.

The officer, according to multiple reports, was flagged down by a person who reported the shooting. An automobile belonging to one of the victims was missing and a all-points police bulletin was issued for it. The vehicle was found abandoned. A short time later Gilley was taken into custody without incident at a relative’s home.
