Geneva Police Make Arrest In Subway Robbery

Geneva police have made one arrest in a recent robbery of Subway. Police say the arrest brings an end to this investigation.

Officer Jim Mock made contact with William Jared Evans in an area where the thefts had taken place. After a short interview, Evans was brought to the Geneva PD where Investigator Ricky Morgan provided additional questioning.

Evans admitted to taking the money and running out the door. He has been charged with third degree theft of property and was placed in the Geneva County Jail.

Evans admitted he stole the money to feed his drug habit.

Further review of the store's security footage shows the suspect never produced a weapon and never threatened the attendant.
