Ft. Rucker Commissary To Reopen

Some workers returning after furloughs
FORT RUCKER, Ala. – Fort Rucker Monday began notifying those employees who met the Secretary of Defense’s criteria to return to work, after they were furloughed Oct. 1 due to the federal government shutdown.

This is obviously welcome news for our Army and our installation and our valued employees.

The commissary will reopen Tuesday.

We continue to ask for everyone’s patience as we work toward resuming normal operations. The Public Affairs Office will continue to keep the public updated as information becomes available.

(The above was a press release received from Ft. Rucker's Public Affairs Office.)
