First Annual Souper Bowl Food Drive

First Annual Souper Bowl Food Drive

Dothan’s PR companies hope to collect a ton of food.
Dothan, AL, January 7, 2014 The PR Companies, (Personnel Resources Inc., PR Employer and Preferred Risk Solutions) are pleased to announce that they are holding their first ever “Souper Bowl” food drive from January 9th to February 8th. The food drive is designed to collect cans of soup and non-perishable food items which will be donated to food banks in the communities which we serve, specifically the Wire Grass Area Food Bank and VEAP the Bloomington MN, Food Bank. The PR Companies hope to collect over 2000 pounds of food during the month long drive.

“Hunger doesn’t end after the holidays are over. It is a year round problem and this is a tougher time as many food banks have bare cupboards after the holidays” said Ben Harrison President of the PR Companies. With the Super Bowl coming up in February we thought this would be a great time to lead a community wide food drive to help the food banks restock.”

Personnel Resources will have collection points at our Dothan office (5585 West Main Street) and our Bloomington office (900 American Blvd East). Additionally, we will have collection points at our client locations throughout the community. If you are interested in becoming a collection site, please contact Jane Fletcher at 334-794-8722 or Jeff McKeown at 952-303-3042.

“We hope that many in the community will join us in this effort. Working with our clients, our associates and the community we know we can help those who are most in need.” Harrison added. We are excited about this initiative and hope to make it an annual event.
