Enterprise Celebrates 100 Years of Football

Students and alumni filled the gymnasium today to celebrate the milestone.
Enterprise High School had a lot to cheer about today. This year marks the 100th year anniversary for football in Enterprise. Students and alumni filled the gymnasium today to celebrate the milestone and reminisce about their favorite part of their high school years. Richard Fleming is a former football players. Now he's 85 years old but his school spirit is as strong as ever.

"I graduated in 1946 and, Enterprise, well I still love it because I was raised here in Enterprise and we had an excellent coach so I loved school and I'm so proud of this school system we've got now," said Fleming.

Coach Faulkner says his team has been pumped up for the big game because of all the hype surrounding the celebration.

"It's a great testimony for a program and a school system to be around for a hundred years to have that to pull upon and to use and to teach our kids here in Enterprise about our history and our tradition is just a great tool," said David Faulkner, the Enterprise High School football head coach.

The Heisman Trophy was also in town today for the big weekend and the players got their picture with it, hoping one day that trophy will be theirs.
