On November 15, 2013 at approximately 5:30 am the Dothan Police Department communications center received information that multiple vehicles were being broken into, by several unknown subjects, in the 100 block of Sheila Drive.

Responding officers were advised that two unknown black males were observed entering several parked automobiles in the Carriage House apartment complex, while a third subject followed in a white passenger car. The three subjects were chased away by one of the tenants, but only after that individual was able to write down the vehicle’s tag number. As officers arrived on scene, they were advised the vehicle was reported stolen and a deputy with the Houston County Sheriff’s Department had the vehicle stopped, but the driver exited and ran from it.

Officers began establishing a perimeter around the area as the communication center began receiving calls of suspicious individuals hiding near homes in the vicinity. Officers began moving towards those areas and were able to locate the suspects hiding behind homes and in the nearby wood lines.

The three men have been identified as Bruce Grubbs, Jicobi Doss and Lavictor Franklin. All have been charged with Unlawful Breaking and Entering a Motor Vehicle. Doss has received an additional charge of first degree Receiving Stolen Property. Their arrests now bring this case to a close.
