Dothan Chinese Symposium Delayed

Due to the government shutdown, Chinese are unable to get visas for the symposium planned for November.
The US-China Manufacturing Symposium planned for November that would have brought over 400 Chinese business leaders to the area will most likely be delayed, according to Dothan Mayor Mike Schmitz.  Because of the government shutdown, many are unable to be approved for a visa.

Schmitz says the symposium will likely be rescheduled for February 2014. An event with limited speakers will be held in November in place of the symposium but details have not been worked out yet.
