Five games await the Trojans in the Sunshine State.
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Five games await the Trojans in the Sunshine State, as Troy softball (2-2-1) heads to the Osprey Invitational, hosted by North Florida.

Troy begins the Invitational against Southern Illinois at 11:15 a.m. on Friday. The Trojans will also take on North Florida on Friday, Savannah State and Quinnipiac on Saturday and Southern Illinois on Sunday.

The Trojans opened up the 2014 season last weekend at the Troy Subway Invitational. Troy wrapped up the Invitational with a loss to in-state rival Alabama in front of a record crowd of 2,078 fans.

Jaycee Affeldt has been strong in the circle for the Trojans this season. Affeldt picked up a shutout against Kennesaw State and was solid against the Crimson Tide.

Newcomer Alison Milam currently leads the team in batting at .364. Michelle Phelps is leading the way with six RBIs on the year while Erica Davis is leading the team with 10 total bases.

Troy is 1-1 all-time against Southern Illinois and 5-4 against North Florida. The Trojans have never faced Quinnipiac or Savannah State.
