The Trojans have a number of individual athletes ranked. Ben Martin is currently 14th in the country in the 100-meter dash with a season-best time of 10.28 seconds. Martin also ranks 46th in the 200-meters with a time of 21.10 seconds. Jordan Landburg is 19th in the 400-meters with a time of 46.84 seconds, set at the Alabama Relays. The Sun Belt is represented well in the regional rankings, with five teams ranked in the top-15 in their respective regions on the men’s side. South Alabama is currently 10th in the South Region, while Western Kentucky is 11th in the Southeast Region. Texas State and UT Arlington are ranked 11th and 12th, respectively, in the South Central Region.
The South Region may be the toughest in the nation, with six teams in the national top-25, including top-ranked Florida.
Troy began last season ranked ninth in the region and finished the year in 15th.
The Trojans hit the road this week for the Spec Towns National Team Invitational, hosted by the University of Georgia.
