Some teens would need parent's consent, others could only tan if ordered by doctor
The Alabama House, by a 92-2 margin, voted Tuesday to approve a bill that ban teens from using tanning beds unless they have written consent from a parent.
Under the measure 16 and 17 year old must have parent’s written permission to tan, 15 –year old girls must have a parent present and those 14 and under could only use tanning beds if prescribed by a doctor.
The measure now heads to the Senate for its consideration.
