Successful “Wish Wednesdays” Zaxby’s campaign leaves stores hopeful for strong finish

Zaxby’s locations across the state are continuing to raise tens of thousands of dollars for Alabama children.

38 Alabama restaurants have raised more than $68K in three days

Birmingham, Al. (July 23, 2014) – Zaxby’s locations across the state are continuing to raise tens of thousands of dollars for Alabama children.

This July, 38 Zaxby’s restaurants from all across Alabama decided to come together for one common goal: To grant the wishes of Alabama children with life-threatening medical conditions.

These locations are donating 10 percent of their revenue on each of the five Wednesdays in the month of July.

With two Wednesdays remaining, Zaxby’s has raised more than $68,000 for the Alabama chapter.

“This is a way for these Zaxby’s locations to give back to the very communities their customers live in,” Zaxby’s Licensee and Make-A-Wish Alabama Board Member, Brandon Miller, said. “We’re nothing without our customers and I’m just so proud that so many licensees around the state wanted to be a part of this.”

The money raised by Zaxby’s during the final two weeks can be matched dollar-for-dollar by Make-A-Wish®.

“We have a national partnership with Zaxby’s that takes place in the Fall, but this particular campaign is only for the state of Alabama,” Make-A-Wish Alabama President and CEO, Pam Jones, said. “Knowing that so many Zaxby’s licensees in so many communities in Alabama wanted to play a role in this initiative – it shows how big of a heart they have in wanting to help our Alabama children.”
