Scott Roberts, Meteorologist

Scott Roberts is the Chief Meteorologist for WDHN News.

Meteorologist Scott Roberts joined the WDHN News team in March, 2013. Scott was born in Bethlehem, PA but grew up mostly in Port Charlotte, FL. While attending high school there, Hurricane Charley, a category 4 storm, made landfall in Port Charlotte. The force Charley had and the efforts of the local TV meteorologist to guide the community through the storm reinforced that he wanted to make meteorology and broadcasting his career.

He graduated The Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Geography with a minor in Climatology. That later led him to Mississippi State University to pursue a Master of Science degree in Geosciences with an emphasis on Broadcast Meteorology. While at Mississippi State, Scott participated in the WxChallenge, a national forecasting competition, and placed first in the graduate student division for Hilo, HI.

Previously to WDHN, Scott worked as the weekend morning meteorologist at WTVA-TV in Tupelo, MS. He also was an intern meteorologist at WINK-TV in Fort Myers, Florida and at WTVT-TV in Tampa, Florida.
