Whitehead, Preachers in Coffee coroner runoff

Former, current officeholder to decide race in July
Four stepped forward with ambitions to become the Coffee County Coroner, and after Tuesday’s election two are still standing. Daniel Edwards and Steve Resteivo were eliminated after garnering a combined 1,391 votes, or just 18-percent of the total.

Robert Preachers, who had previously served two terms, took the most votes with 42-percent, 3,147 votes. The incumbent, Tim Whitehead, took 40-percent of the overall vote with 2,993.
