One critically injured in three-car crash in Coffee County

A total of five people were injured in the crash near Danley's Crossroads.
Five people were injured, one of them critically, late Monday afternoon in a crash near Elba.

Alabama State Troopers say the accident happened at the intersection of Alabama 141 and Alabama 166. Many know the intersection as Danley's Crossroads. That's about five miles west of Elba.

Three vehicles were involved in the crash. The first vehicle was driven by Wendy Ann Donaldson, 39, of Opp. There was two passengers in her vehicle. One of those passengers was take by Life Flight to UAB Hospital in Birmingham with life-threatening injuries. Donaldson and the other passenger were transported to Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan.

The second vehicle was driven by Timothy Allen Moore, 39, of Nevada, Missouri. He had three passengers in his vehicle. Moore was take to Southeast Alabama Medical Center while the passengers were taken to Opp Medical Center.

The third vehicle was driven by Robert Andrew Marler, 43, of Jack. He was not injured in the crash.

Trooper Kevin Cook says the accident remains under investigation.
