Autopsy reveals no foul play in death of missing man

Additional tests will be conducted before Obie Rice case is closed.
An autopsy on body of a missing man found last week revealed no signs of foul play though further tests will be performed. “There is no reason at this time to believe Obie Rice was murdered,” said Houston Sheriff Andy Hughes. “However, there will be toxicology tests performed before we have a final determination of how he died.”

The body of Rice, 43, was discovered a few days after he was reported missing by family members. It was found Friday in a wooded area not far from Rice’s home along South Park Avenue near the Geneva County line.

Investigators spent several hours at the scene collecting evidence and interviewing two people who had recently spent time with Rice at his home. Neither has been implicated in Rice’s death though one of them has been charged with stealing $600 from Rice’s home following his death.

Hughes identified the man arrested as Adrian Maurice Gray who is 35 years old. The sheriff said Gray has been charged with Theft of Property.
