Enterprise Police Chief T.D. Jones is asking motorists to be mindful of the presence of cyclists riding on city streets and surrounding country roads Saturday.

About 200 cyclists and runners are expected to be visiting the city for the Enterprise Lions Club’s annual Boll Weevil 100 Bike Ride and Run, beginning at 7:30 a.m. Saturday. The routes for the bike rides and the run will utilize various city streets and county roads throughout Coffee County.

Jones said the incoming lane beginning at Harrison and Main will be closed from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m.

He asked motorists to be especially cautious downtown around Main Street and in the area of Highway 51.
“We hope that everyone has a safe and enjoyable weekend,” Jones said.
