Michael Wade Probst was arrested Tuesday after he allegedly drove the bus from near Tyndall Air Force base to Wal-Mart on Front Beach Road----a distance of about 15 miles.
The Bay County Sheriff’s Office said in a written press release that an officer conducted a traffic stop after Wal-Mart told dispatchers bus was being driven in an erratic manner. Investigators say it appears the vehicle was vandalized with damage in excess of $2,000. The keys had apparently been left in the bus overnight.
Probst was charged with Grand Theft and Felony Criminal Mischief.
