Troy (8-14, 3-7 SBC) took down in-state rival South Alabama last Thursday, 79-74. Hunter Williams tied a career-high with 26 points, including 21 in the second half, to secure the win.
The Trojans are led by Williams at 12.4 points per game. Antoine Myers is averaging 11.5 points per game, while Kevin Thomas is scoring 10 points per game and adding 7.7 rebounds per contest.
Western Kentucky (16-8, 8-3 SBC) lost to Arkansas State on Monday night, snapping a six-game winning streak. The Hilltoppers are led by T.J. Price at 16.0 points per game. George Fant is scoring 13.0 points and grabbing 6.8 boards per game.
Troy was defeated by Western Kentucky at home earlier this season, 60-51. Tevin Calhoun led the Trojans with 11 points and nine rebounds in that meeting.
The Trojans are 7-11 all-time against the Hilltoppers.
