Jackson County man threatens niece and boyfriend

Charles Wamer threatened to kill his niece and her boyfriend with a knife.
On Feb. 9, 2014 at approximately 6:20 pm the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call regarding an armed domestic disturbance in progress on 4th Ave in Alford.

During the course of the investigation Deputies learned that Charles Wamer Jr. had become angry over his niece and her boyfriend smoking in the house.

As the argument escalated, Wamer reportedly pulled a pocket knife and threatened both subjects, stating that he would kill them. When the female victim advised that she was calling the Police, Wamer fled the scene. He was located a short time later and arrested. Wamer was lodged in the Jackson County Correctional Facility to await first appearance.

The situation is classified as “domestic” based on Wamer and the female being related and living together in the same household as a family. No one was injured in the incident.

Charles Wamer Jr., 50 years of age, of Alford, Florida was charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon (Domestic).
