Dothan City Schools System has adopted a 1:1 Initiative that will give all students, 4th-12th grade, an Apple iPad Air coming this fall. The Dothan Education Foundation is hosting two community meetings for Dothan City Schools. The community is invited to join us in a discussion on the details of the 1:1 Initiative and iPad distribution process. The first meeting will be held Wednesday, June 11th at 10:00 A.M. followed by a second meeting, Tuesday, July 8th at 5:30 P.M. Both meetings will be held at the Dothan Opera House in Downtown Dothan. We encourage parents, students, community members and school supporters to attend. DCS administrators will provide an overview of the procedures, safety & security measures. Student involvement and fees will also be discussed. There will be a question and answer session for the community after the presentation. The distribution process of the iPads to students will be broken down in specific details. This will be the largest Apple iPad initiative in the state of Alabama. Planning and preparation are key to a successful rollout.
