Starting today, online registration for the event is open to the public, with early registration fees active through Sept. 8. Registration fee includes a finish-line party and unlimited rides at Atlantic City's historic Steel Pier, as well as a commemorative event T-shirt. By registering, participants can also set a monetary goal and ask friends and family to support their fundraising efforts for both the Miss America Scholarship Program and its official national platform, Children's Miracle Network Hospitals.
The Miss America Organization anticipates the first annual Miracle Mile Walk to be a grand celebration with hopes of raising funds and awareness for the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals across the nation that provide treatment to millions of kids each year. Miss America President, Sharon Pearce, stated "We're thrilled to bring this special celebration to the Atlantic City Boardwalk, as we embark on a second year of the Miss America competition returning to her birthplace. This year's Miracle Mile Walk will provide an opportunity for Miss America supporters to raise funds and walk alongside state titleholders, as they kick off a weekend of showing their shoes on Saturday and taking the stage Sunday evening for the final night of competition on Sunday, the 14th live on ABC."
