TROY, Ala. – Recording-setting Troy quarterback Corey Robinson has signed a deal with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in the Canadian Football League, the team announced Sunday.

Robinson is one of just five quarterbacks in NCAA FBS history to throw for over 3,000 yards and accumulate 3,000 yards of total offense in four different seasons. The Paducah, Ky., native holds 11 Troy and Sun Belt Conference career records and holds the career marks for touchdown passes, passing yards, passing attempts, completions and total offense both at Troy and in the Sun Belt.

Robinson ranks ninth all-time in NCAA FBS history with 13,477 career passing yards and sixth all-time with 1,179 completions. He completed 67.7 percent of his passes in 2013 for 3,219 yards and 20 touchdowns; he set the NCAA FBS single-game record for completion percentage (30 attempts) after he completed 30-of-32 passes against UAB.

Robinson joins three other former Troy players on current CFL rosters – Brandon Boudreaux (Hamilton), Bear Woods (Montreal) and Kevin Dixon (Calgary).

Other quarterbacks on the Hamilton roster include Jeremiah Masoli (Ole Miss/Oregon), Stephen McGee (Texas A&M), Zach Collaros (Cincinnati) and Dan LeFevour (Central Michigan).

The Tiger-Cats opened training camp on Monday and open their preseason slate on June 14 against Montreal.
