Dothan police find four children in home with no electricity or adult supervision

An arrest has been made for chemical endangerment of the children ranging from five months old to five years old.
Dothan police say they found four children unattended in a home with no electricity. They also found drugs in the home.

On July 1st, police responded to the 1100 block of Fountain Street in reference to a complaint of child neglect.

Upon arrival, officers were advised that four children, ranging between the ages of five years old and five months, were alone in a home with no electricity. Officers also found the children with no adult supervision and burnt marijuana cigarettes throughout the residence.

The mother of the children, Lisa Buford, arrived shortly after and was arrested for endangering the children, by exposing them to a controlled substance.

•Lisa Ann Buford, black female, 29 years of age, of Fountain Street was arrested and charged with four counts of Chemical Endangerment of a Child. Bond amounts have been set and total $60,000.00.

All persons arrested are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
