Man accused of embezzling from Dothan business

Police say John Floyd Denson stole merchandise, ordered fencing for family member
A Dothan man has been arrested and charged with the theft of more than $6,000 from a Dothan business. Police say John Floyd Denson, 52, was arrested Tuesday after an internal investigation showed he stole the merchandise while working at Wayne Farms.

“An internal investigation was started and revealed Denson stole over $3,500 worth of tools and equipment,” said police spokesperson Sgt. Maurice Eggleston. “It was also discovered that Denson ordered nearly $3,000 worth of chain link fencing for a family member, which he used the company’s account to purchase,” Eggleston said in a written media release.

Denson was charged with two counts of First Degree Theft of Property with bonds totaling $30,000 bond.
