Ronnie Gilley's son busted on stolen ATV charges

The son of Country Crossing developer Ronnie Gilley was arrested Thursday on felony charges involving stolen ATV’s. Dexter Gilley, 25, was taken into custody after allegedly meeting undercover investigators in Daleville to sell them the stolen vehicle.

Dale County Sheriff’s Captain Mason Bynum said the ATV’s owner—from Georgia—had notified officers in Alabama after seeing the ATV on Craig’s list. Bynum said a search warrant was executed on Gilley’s home in Enterprise where another stolen ATV was found.

Dexter Gilley is held without bond pending an appearance before a judge Friday. Bynum said additional charges could be filed and others arrested.

Gilley’s father, Ronnie, is serving a six year, eight month prison sentence after admitting to corruption charges in connection with alleged legislative pro-gambling vote buying.
