Ozark man indicted by federal grand jury on charge he threatened to kill President

Deryke Pfeifer, during an interview, said “God told him that God was going to destroy Obama and everything around him,” according to court documents.
An Ozark man has been indicted on charges he threatened to kill President Obama. Deryke Matthew Pfeifer was arrested July 3 and accused of making the threats in a phone call to the U.S. Secret Service and in videos posted to his Facebook page.

According to the indictment Pfeifer “did knowingly and willfully make a threat to take the life of, to kidnap, and to inflict bodily harm upon the President of the United States of America, specifically threatening to kill President Barack Obama.”

Special Agent Marcus Shumack, in a criminal complaint, alleges a phone call was made to the Federal Protective Service Dispatch Center in Michigan on June 29. The male caller threatened to kill the President Shumack said.

Secret Service agents were able to determine the phone number the call came from and linked it to a Facebook account. The Ozark Police Department took Pfeifer into custody without incident.

Pfeifer, during an interview, said “God told him that God was going to destroy Obama and everything around him,” according to court documents. The agent said he also watched a video posted to Pfeifer’s Facebook page in which Pfeifer stated “America don’t you mess with Deryke Pfeiffer.” He then went on to say that he intended to blow up the Social Security Administration building and was going to kill Obama for turning on him.

The complaint also claims Pfeifer posted another video that shows him holding up a Glock pistol and making the statement to President Obama, “You feel all that heat Obama? Jesus ain’t playing with you. I just let you see that to let you know that I got it.”

Pfeifer is scheduled to be arraigned July 23.
